Support Ethnic Studies Professional Development

The Ethnic Studies YOLO Academy is committed to sponsoring and assisting current and emerging educators in cultivating ethnic studies pedagogy and curriculum. It hosts and sponsors effective professional development workshops. The presenters are Ethnic Studies trained educators and/or researchers experienced in culturally responsive approaches and community based methods that have been successful in positively transforming teaching and learning ethnic studies. They help expand teacher and community based capacity for supporting the Ethnic Studies implementation that reflect caring relationships that acknowledge that community and cultural wealth of students and families.
